Attorney Federica Mazzeo
Attorney Federica Mazzeo’s professional activity is dedicated to the protection of the rights of vulnerable individuals, family relationships, and minors, with a particular focus on immigration law. She collaborates with various associations involved in refugee protection, such as “A buon diritto.” Her personal and professional challenge is to ensure the right to respect for private and family life, as enshrined in Article 8 of the Convention on Human Rights, a right that is unfortunately not always upheld, as evidenced by the numerous convictions against Italy.
To achieve this goal, she believes it is crucial to work in collaboration with local services and associative realities, so that people’s rights are not just empty words but become the beating heart of the “material or spiritual progress of society” (Article 4, second paragraph, of the Constitution). Whenever possible, Attorney Federica Mazzeo prioritizes non-adversarial resolutions of disputes to avoid exacerbating conflicts, especially when the best interest of the child is at stake.
In her area of expertise, she has authored publications and participated as a speaker in various conferences analyzing legislative updates and the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. To assist individuals who may not have sufficient financial means, she is registered in the list of attorneys authorized to provide legal aid funded by the State. She also serves as the Secretary of the 40th Conference of Young Lawyers.
